WHATSAPP TO LAUNCH DARK MODE AMONG OTHER KEY FEATURES
Popular online messaging application WhatsApp will soon be unveiling its newest, much-requested ‘Dark Mode’ feature. The aesthetically pleasing unilluminated visuals, which are also comparable to a ‘Night Mode’, have become a swell alternative to the bright default style we’ve been accustomed to.
For The Newest Generation
The change comes in the wake of major operating system like Android 10 and Apple’s iOS 13 standardizing the ‘dark theme’ as an alternative to the default, across all third-party applications.
Also known as a ‘Night Mode’ feature, the new visual substitute to the conventional has become a given for all applications on the market. The “system default” option within the application will auto-recognize the default settings that the user chooses, and adjust the dark or light theme accordingly.
The beta version available to the public happens to be unstable and not devoid of bugs as yet. The mode is still in development. WhatsApp has stated that a couple of aspects about the new mode, don’t necessarily gel with the app as yet.
Other Big Changes
In the push by WhatsApp to diversify what their platform is capable of, the application has been trying out new things – and by ‘new’, meaning adopting preexisting features from other successful applications, such as the ‘Stories’ feature from Instagram.
The newest is a ‘self-destruct feature’, just like the one Snapchat rolled out not long ago. Whatsapp will give the user various options of time durations, for self-destructing these messages.
